Bulova epitomizes the essence of the vintage American watch. In 1931 Bulova was the first watch company to spend over one million dollars on advertising....and at the top of the hour on radios throughout America you would hear a bell chime followed by, “B-U-L-O-V-A …It’s Bulova Watch Time.” In 1941 they launched the first television advertisement for watches, proclaiming, “America Runs on Bulova Time.” Their watch designs were always trend-setting and were copied by many other watch manufactures. We try our best to find and present to you the best of these classics. A vintage watch restoration consist of four main elements: The watch works and movement; the dial, the case and the watch hands. Watch straps and bands are a personal preference and when possible we offer original bands and straps. Our vintage watch movements are 100% Bulova. We only use genuine Bulova vintage parts when needed for repairs. We look for the best watches. Our focus is on originally and authenticity. We start with the cleaning and servicing the case and movement. Then we add a new crystal. Although we do believe in refinishing dials when necessary to give that clean, fresh and new look, we seek the best possible dial in original condition, and provide new-old-stock hands when necessary. Take a look through our inventory. Your comments are always welcome.

1960 Bulova President 23 Jewel Collection 10BZC. New Offering. A rare, mint 1960 President with the arrowhead bezel. Some people call this the "Asymmetrical" bezel model. In any case, this one has the "M0" on the movement and case back for 1960 and is the first of the Bulova 23 Jewel Collection launched with their promotional advertising, "Four Years in the Making" that year. This modern watch style is by far the most sought-after of the 23 Jewel models. I believe it was intentionally designed to attract a new generation to Bulova, to identify with the 1960 World's Fair in Seattle and the "Space Age," and more importantly, to signify the recent election of our youngest "President," John F. Kennedy. This new offering is a restoration piece:The dial has been refinished with the original Butler finish and gold numbering; the case has been replated to add shine, and the hands are NOS luminous silver with a silver sweep second hand. Comes with a NOS crystal. It also comes with my last NOS signed "Bulova," dark brown, authentic lizard strap. It looks gorgeous! The watch is running nearly to the 1/10 of a second. The waterproof case back says, "Bulova, 10k R.G.P. Bezel,  S.S. Back, Shock Resistant, Anti-Magnetic, Waterproof, E617121." Price is $495. If you are looking for a more affordable, original condition variant of this same watch, I have another with an excellent original dial, good set of hands, and a great case. Call with inquires. Additional photos always available upon request.

1960 Bulova "Mystery Dial" 23 Jewel 10BZAC Automatic. NICE!! WOW! A really rare Bulova "Mystery Dial" model powered with the incredible 23J 10BZAC movement. All in mint condition. The center dial rotates and serves as the hour hand with a single gold hour pointer. Has a beautiful minute hand and sweep second hand. Winds smoothly (can be manually wound) and sets easily. Movement looks in pristine condition. One of the most collectible Bulova watches. Comes with a new Bulova crystal and an original genuine leather/reptile grain strap with a gold buckle. Just a superb watch priced accordingly at $795.

1956 Bulova "Calendar 23" Automatic with Day & Date and Sub Second Hand. WOW! What more to say....just a stunning early Bulova Calendar watch with day of week. Powered by a 23 jewel 10BPAD movement. The case is gorgeous! This watch has a red-arrow pointer (looks like a sweep second hand) that shows the date on the inside date track and a small "pusher" on the side of the case at 2 o'clock that advances the date. The day changes with time through the time setting winding crown. The watch can also be manually wound. The only flaw to this watch is some light-green radium paint missing on the hour hand...but we debated long and hard and decided since the minute hand is perfect to leave it as it is (you can hardly see it in the photo). The blue hands should be re-lumed as a pair and there was really no need at this time to restore them. The sub-second hand is gold with a deep tube to reach the fourth wheel pinion that is hard to find as a relacement part. It comes with an authentic NOS Bulova-signed genuine lizard strap with a gold buckle that looks awesome on it. It comes with a NOS Bulova crystal. The watch movement runs strong and has been serviced. The only flaw to the movement is some rubbing that occurred in the case on the auto-wind ocillating weight. This is an extremely rare and unique Bulova. The only other ones we've seen for sale are listed at 1,500 Euro, or about $2,000. We are offering this beauty for $995.

1967 Bulova "President" 30Jewel Collection 10COACD. This is one of the flagship of our offerings. This rare 30J President comes in a brand new (NOS) case. The super-high-quality 30J 10COACD movement is pristine as are the dial and hands. Awesome Date Box at 4pm. All the data on this watch movement, and most all our watch movements, can be found at www.Ranfft.de and the 10COACD movement at the following link:

http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2uswk&Bulova_10COAC

This is litterly like getting a brand new watch. There is not only no wear on the case, its brand new! This is nearly the same as buying a brand new 1967 Bulova watch. Comes with a NOS Bulova-signed brown, genuine lizard strap. Priced at $475

1965 Bulova "Regatta 23" 10BZAC Automatic 23 Jewel. This is a beautiful example of the "Bulova Regatta 23" line of watches from 1965. The lugs on the bottom have light scratches but the watach is otherwise perfect. The scratches could be polished-out but we don't polish gold plated bezels except with a light cleaner. Great dial and hands - all original. When we got this one the hairspring was wrapped around the automatic winding weight...how that would happen is beyond us. The balance wheel and staff were fine....so we replaced the hairspring during servicing and it's running strong. A great high-qulaity vintage Bulova at an attractive price of $225. Comes with a black croc-pattern calf strap with gold buckle.

1953 Bulova "Director-A" Model. This is a New-Old-Stock Watch featuring the 15J 10BT Movement. Comes in its original mint condition box with tags. When we found this watch it it didn't run - "wound tight" as they say. It came from a jewelry store and had sat around unsold for 65 years! The reason it didn't run was because at some point, after some years, the oil had dried-up in the jewels and pivots and it was "frozen-up" and wouldn't run when wound. We gingerly disassembled, cleaned and oiled, and it ran like a new watch again! Otherwise, no maintanance has ever been preformed on this watch! It comes with the beautiful and original "Bulova" signed 12k gold-filled top and stainless steel back stretch band. The case back inside reads, "Bulova, 10k Rolled Gold Plate Bezel, New York." So clean you can hardly read it! This watch is exactly you would have seen and looked at when shopping for a watch for your husband in 1953 at the jewelry store. It is like it was kept in a time-capsule! I can say nothing more about condition - its simply perfect inside and out. As with all our watch, we will send you additional photos of the watch and movement and a short video of it running upon your inquiry. Price is $399.

1951 Bulova Duo Wind Model. This particular watch features an L1/1951 Case with an L2/1952 10CMC 17 Jewel Self-Winding Movement. It is not uncommon for the watch case to be marked one year and the movement to be another year....but generally you never find more then one or two years difference. This model is the "Duo-Wind" meaning you can self wind it or it will wind itself through motion. It is one of the first automatic winding Bulova's. It comes in an original Bulova Duo-wind case. The lugs on this watch are gorgeous and overall the case and bezel are in very good to excellent condition. It also has an original NOS "Bulova" signed calfskin strap, beige with a reddish colored edging that looks fantastic with this watch, and it has a 12k gold-filled clasp. Repairs include NOS hands, winding gears, stem and crown, and a new G-S plastic Hi-Dome crystal. Priced in showroon condition at $249.

1960 Bulova "Presiedent" 23J 10BZC. Another of the "Four Years in the Making" Bulova President watch offerings from 1960. There were four watches represented in the Bulova's advertising campaign from 1960 and we are happy to offer three of the four variants to you - the first is the first watch above. This one has the 23 jewel 10BZC movement (not an automatic and therefore a very slim watch design), distinctive and unique lug design, and the original 10k RGF Caps stretch band (with some wear but still looking good - you can see the 10k RGF designation between the botton lugs). Excellent original dial, hands and crown. We will soon be adding the third watch from the "Four Years in the Making" ad and it's also a beauty and one of our favorites as well!! We will consider a mult-purchase discount should you be interested in the three watches as a collection of the 1960 Bulova President line. This watch is offered at a attractive price of just $295.

1965 Bulova "Senator" 17J 11AF Movement with NOS Case. This is one gorgeous watch from the 60's. It is nearly perfect in every way. Beatiful dial (Slight case rubbing around edges but not seen. Aadditional photos are available), fantastic original hands, and the case was purchased separately to replace the original - not because it was in too bad of shape but because this was brand new with original crystal and springbars and was better (We always try to offer you only the best-of-the-best in our watch selections). It also has a NOS Bulova crown as well. In a word - SUPER-NICE! The 11AF 17 jeweled movement is dated 1963 and runs strong, smooth and consistant and looks like new (again, additional photos available upon inquiry). I have found these 11AF Bulova movements hardly ever match their cases and being junior by two years is not uncommon. The case number is 2505 and is a 10k RGP bezel with a stainless steel back. There was apparently a stretch band available for this watch that matched the design of the bezel...but I think it looks much better with this dark brown, genuine lizard Bulova-signed strap with gold buckle. The glass crystal has just minor marks on it from years of storage which are unseen and could be polished out. A fantastic watch for you for a great price of $199.

1957 Bulova "Commodore" 17J 11ACC. Gorgeous! Gold plated with stainless steel back. Case, dated L7 for 1957, is in great condition and this model has unique and distinctive lugs and a Bulova-signed gold crown. Dial was refinsihed by International Dial Co. to original Bulova specifications including luminate dots at the hour markers and comes with original luninating hour and minute hands and has an excellent sweep center hand. The 17 jewel 11ACC (dated L7 for 1957) movement is in excellent condition - looks like new! Serviced and running strong. Comes with a new Bulova pressed-fit crystal. Equipped with a stunning alligator calf strap with gold buckle. Really a nice vintage timepiece affordably priced at $225.

1942 Bulova 17J 10AXcs "Medical Officer" Model. This is a beautifully restored, extremely rare, WWII-era watch with center second dial and short sweep second hand. The 10AXcs functions and looks very simlar to the military Bulova 10AKcsh A-11 watch movement but their parts are not interchangeable. The 10k RG bezel is in very good condition with just the slighest wear through in a couple high points that are only seen through magnification. The top of the bezel is refection, not wear. The dial was restored to exact Bulova specification by International Dial Co. and the re-lumed hour numbers illuminate in darkness. This watch movement is in beautiful condition and is running strong. The stainless steel case back cover is in excellent condition. It has a model-specific NOS glass crystal mounted on it. It comes with a beautiful dark blue, Hadley-Roma, Genuine Lizard strap that perfectly matches the radium and dark blue hands. I have several of this model with a different dial variation and will be posting them to inventory soon. This one is available for $399.

1949 Bulova 21J 10BM "His Excellency" Model. What to say...simply an outstanding 65 year old vintage Bulova! One of the highest quality watch movements Bulova made just after WWII....and in fact the 10BM was used in military watches after the Second World War and replaced the 10AK (which many 10BM parts are interchangeable with) issued during the Korea War until it too was replaced by the 10BNCH watch movement. A 21 Jewel movement was a super-luxury watch in 1949! This is a completely original watch with 10k GF bezel and case back cover. There's a couple watchmakers marks inside, but the movement looks pristine and unscratched. The only flaw I see is an unnoticible but slight rubbing on the dial around the bezel edge on one side. The dial simply beautiful, the hands mint, and has what appears to be the original crystal with only slight scratching that cannot be seen. Comes with a brown lizard-leather strap with matching gold buckle. Price is $279.

1935 Bulova "Oakley" 15J 10AN. We belive this to be the "Oakley" model from 1935 but it is slightly different (better, I might add!) from the other variants we have seen but generally speaking it is the same case and bezel and takes the same size crystal. When we found her she was pretty dirty but had a super-unique dial. The cool thing about the dial is it has a "raised" gold track border and sub-second hand box and is not a printed one. I've never seen that one like it before. So we had it refinsihed at International Dial Co. and it came up looking fantastic! We added new blue-color hands and a purple sub-second hand to give it some additonal color and apeal. It also has a new winding crown. The bezel and case are in great condition. The 15J 10AN movement says "USA" on it and doesn't have and import stamp on the balance cock commonly found on watches when movements were made in Switzerland and the watch finishied in the USA...probably meaning it was all made in the USA. Buy American! It came originally with a yelow crystal, and we have an exact yellow crystal to go with it...but we'll leave it uninstalled in case you prefer a clear crystal (just trying to keep our wacthes authentic - we'll even give you the old one to prove it...it's cracked in about 100 pieces but still intact!). We can try to find a clear one for it for you if you prefer.Comes with a NOS sealpin strap with gold buckle. A really great vintage piece for a very reasonable price of just $199

1966 Accutron 218D. Another beautiful Bulova from Vera's Vintage Watches! This is an amazing Accutron with a flawless Champagne dial. Tuning Fork under the 12, "Accutron" on the left at the 9, and Date and Setting Crown at 4 O'clock. We acquired this watch as part of a large watch lot but we don't work on Accutrons - they are a different breed of watch all-together - so this watch has not been serviced by us. This watch is nearly perfect with the exception of a few light marks on the crystal. It shines brilliantly as you cn see! We put in a new battery and it has run for over three months! Back cover says, "Bulova, Patented, Stainless Steel Case, Waterproof, A13445, M6." Equipped with the original waterproof gasket and back case cover unscrews and opens easily - no rust whatsoever. Signed Tuning Fork crown looks new. We are going to let you decide what watch band or strap is best for your taste and offer it to you as shown for $199.

1951 Bulova "Hawley" with 17J 10BT Movement. This one's a bit of a mystery to us in terms of model identification....but a new G-S CMT282-17 "Bulova Hawley" crystal fit it and sealed the deal and the name for us. We did not see a Hawley on the MyBulova.Com site to compare. The gorgeous "sea shell" lugs and sculptured sides on the bezel are in excellent condition and the L1 stainless steel case back cover has no service marks inside. The movement, however, is an L4 marked 17 jewel 10BT and is in excellent and nearly pristine condition. It is rare, but not impossible, for a Bulova watch movement and case to be of different years, but it is uncommon there would be three years difference. However, we have no reason to believe it is not an original watch and it is exactly as we received it. The dial has slight spotting but is still very attractive and has great definition. It has a signed Bulova crown in very good conition. The hands are excellent and original. This uncommon Bulova model comes with a brown lizard strap for a very affordable price of $149.

1940 Bulova "Standish" with 15 J 10AX Movement. We think this is a Standish model, or an unknown model. Your comments are always welcome. The 10k RGP bezel has a nice raised "frame" around the crystal and a sleek curved shape. There is only the slightest of wear through on the very tips of the lugs. The dial has sharp distintive lines with a yellowish patina and some rub marks and grime on its edges around the bezel. It almost appears to have been refinished some years ago, but its hard to say. The 15 jewel movement is in excellent condition. It looked to have been over-oiled at one time and that may be where the grime around the dial came from. Comes with a genuine brown lizard strap at a excellent price of just $129.

1940 Bulova "Dean" Curvex with 15J 10AX Movement. Excellent example of a pre-War Bulova with a nearly perfect 10AX movement. The dial on this watch is original with a slight patina. Numerials and original hands are bright and clean. The curvex styled case is in excellent condition, with a flawless wavy lined bezel and scratchless stainless steel case back. there are a couple service marks indicating the watch received some care during its operational life. It has a great unsigned crown. It comes equipped with a brown lizard strap with gold buckle. An affordable rare Bulova classic at $179.SOLD

1961 Bulova "Midnight Clipper" 17J 11AFAC Automatic Movement.

A stunning example of the "Clipper" line of Bulova watches from the 1960's. This is perhaps the finest example of the Midnight Clipper (Although I must confess... I only know of one other...listed on MyBulova.Com!). All original with a  flawless dial, excellent luninating hands, gorgeous gold sweep second and a stunning 10k Gold Plated Bezel with stainless steel back. Anti-Magnetic, Waterproof, Shock Resistent and Self-Winding. Running strong and super clean movement. This watch was well taken care of and the seals really did their job protecting the dial and movement. Comes with a NOS Pinseal light brown strap with gold buckle. Priced at $199. SOLD

1944 Bulova "Air Warden" 10BA 17J Sweep Center. I'm calling this an Air Warden model because it most closely resembles it in terms of case design, case size, case back, and case serial number. It also resembles the black-dial "Nighthawk" model, from the 1944 Bulova "Military Line" of watches "Designed for the Men in Service" and sold through the Montgomery Ward's catalog. However, the only examples of the Air Warden and Nighthawk on MyBulova.Com only have sub-second hands. In any case, this is an exceptional, small gold plate (26mm dia. case) Bulova from the war era. The 10BA movement (technically, it should be a 10BAC since its a sweep center hand, but the movement only indicates, "10BA") runs incrediblly strong and was in excellent condition.  The dial has a some flaws but not enough to justify restoration. The numbers may have originally been painted with radium paint on top of the gold, but what was left simply washed off in cleaning. The watch came to us with the wrong winding stem so we replace all the winding gears and stem and added a new gold crown. The case is in very good condition with the exception of one lug that is cracked at the spring pin hole. This can be repaired but our recommendation is to "take it easy" and it will be fine and unseen. The hands were replaced with NOS ones and look outstanding with the black dial. We added new springbar pins but are selling this without a strap (1/2in lugs). Therefore, we are offering this watch for an afforable $149.

1961 Bulova "Sea King" 17 Jewel 11AFC with Original Box and Registration & Guarentee Papers. A gorgeous example of the "Sea King" line of watches from 1961. Waterproof, Anti-Magnetic, Shock Resistant. The case is in very good condition and the original, uniquely numbered dial and luminating hands are in exceptional condition, as is the 11AFC movement. As with all our watches, the movement has been serviced and tested and is running extraordinarily strong. There was one service mark inside the case (one-piece, 10k Rolled Gold Plate) and the movement was pristine. The sweep center hand is also original and in perfect condition. No one tried to be Lloyd Bridges from "Sea Hunt" and took this one snorkling, thank goodness! Comes with a Genuine Lizard, Bulova-signed strap that looks gorgeous and exactly as it was advertised in the 1961 Sea King advertisement that can be found on MyBulova.Com. There are no other Sea King watches like this model found in their extensive database. Original sales tag that comes with the box and documentation shows it sold for $45 in 1961. In 2012 we are offering this nearly-mint watch at a great price of just $249! SOLD

1970 Bulova "Golden Clipper" 17Jewel 11ANACB Waterproof Automatic. WOW! What a gorgeous watch! Day and Date, fantastic dial, great hands, super-clean 1969 (M9) 11ANACB movement, nearly fine 1970 (N0) case and perfect crown, original 10k gold plated top/stainless steel back watch band with very little wear. Can you imagine sporting this beautiful watch at the disco on Saturday night? It would have stayed wound for several days after a few visits to the dance floor! This one has it all! More photos available for you to see upon your inquiry (My photography is improving with the development of a new light box...and I'll be happy to send new photos of any watch you are interested in and will post new photos of some watches as time allows!). Not much else to say about the Golden Clipper...just a marveous, collectible watch that will come with a new crystal. Affordably priced at $299. SOLD
