Waltham 6/0 17J "Ruby" Grade 567 Model 1898. Serial No. 28-276573. This is a stunning original, 1920's watch with a NOS reddish-colored Crocograin strap that is a perfect match! My research suggests this watch has a gold center wheel and gold mean-time balance screws. They have not been tested. The movement is in beautiful condition as is the original dial and hands. It has been nicely preserved! Come with a new crstal. The case has a stainess steel back and the bezel is in nearly pristine condition. As with all out watches, we have only cleaned and polished the bezel. We do not attept to buff them with machines to avoid unnessary removal of any of the gold plating. The crown on this is in perfect condition as well. This watch is a hertitage piece and is vailable for $199.
This watch was SOLD but we returned payment because of a problem with the pendant wind and case. We will not sell a watch unless it is perfect! The case has a stem retaining sleeve that holds the pendant stem and crown in place (Pendant means the stem and crown stay in the case and the watch movement is removed by gently lifting and pulling the stem out and away from the opposite side). The sleeve came loose in the case stemm tube, so we have sent it to our Preferred Case Specialist, Wuischpard & Sons, a three generation watch case specialist, to get it fixed perfectly. We will get back in perfect condition and have it available soon. In the meantime, we'll keep you looking and considering it!
